After a year of unexpected changes and mounting disappointment as event after event in Park City and throughout the country was canceled, we are excited to see the return of summer events being planned in Park City for summer 2021.
With cautious optimism, Park City officials are allowing for several hallmark events to schedule their return to Park City this summer. With more and more vaccines being delivered and ample space to continue to spread out as we stretch our post-Covid-19 wings Park City is an ideal destination to adventure this summer.
If you’re starting to plan your Park City summer adventure, here are a few events and activities expected to return this summer.
Park City Farmer’s Market is slated to return starting June 2nd. This weekly farmer’s market is located in the Park City Resort Village base parking lot every Wednesday through the summer. You’ll find a variety of local vendors providing fresh organic produce, quality baked goods, and homemade wares. It’s also a great stop to wander and then grab a bite to each from the local food truck round-up in attendance each week.
Park Silly Market will be back as SILLY as ever. Starting Sunday, June
6th through September 26th (with a few weekend exceptions) the local vendors and artists will return to Main Street to share their art, and wares with shoppers. Stroll up and down Main street browsing booths, listening to live music, and grabbing a bite to each from the local food trucks.
Independence Day Celebrations will be back with a Main Street Parade on July 2nd and celebrations throughout the holiday weekend. Independence Day is where Park City likes to remind guests that we are a small-town, starting celebrations off with a pancake breakfast and 5k fun run, you will find festivities through the weekend and if you stick around through July you can find rodeos and even a demolition derby to mix up the entertainment.
Tour of Utah is scheduled to be racing through Utah and Park City again From July 26th finishing up on August 1st. We do not have details on the course stages this early in the game but regardless of the route, it is always a thrill when the riders race past on Main Street. Stage yourself along the course with “more cowbells” or join in on the finish line celebrations on Main Street.
Kimball Arts Festival was forced to cancel its 51st annual celebration last summer so having the festival back this summer will continue a long-standing tradition that draws
fine artists from around the country. Considered to be one of the top Art Festivals in the country, the Kimball Art festival brings together both renowned and new break-through artists along Park City Main street for a weekend that includes art, music, and fine food. The festival is scheduled to be held from August 6th through August 8th.
