Adventure Cabin Amenities
Ideal Deer Valley Location
Spend more time adventuring and less time sitting in traffic or standing in line. The Adventure Cabin at Black Bear Lodge is located Mid-Mountain, directly across from the Stein Eriksen Lodge at the Deer Valley Resort. Walk to ski and reach that un-tracked powder before skiers at the base are even on the lift! Lifts at the Mid-Mountain base are a short three minute walk from your front door. Adjacent to the free bus stop and within walking distance of restaurants and entertainment.
Osim Massage Chair
We are excited to share one of our favorite Après Ski activities with our guests, but we want to make sure we are able to continue making this chair available to everyone so please read this information before getting started.

Please do not let children climb, jump and play on the chair. More about kids later.

Please make sure you do not wear shoes of any kind while using the chair.

Only one person in the chair at a time.

Always push the RETURN SEAT button before exiting the chair.

There is an emergency stop button on the remote...use it if there is an issue.
For REAL do not use the chair for more than 30 minutes a day. There is always that one friend in the group that will ignore this and the next day they will be too sore to ski!! I promise that 30 minutes is all you want even when you think you want more. It’s a deep tissue and can be rough on your muscles if you over do it.
Kids – so, we should say that the manufacturer does not recommend that children under 14 use the chair...but it’s tough to watch everyone else have a go and be told no. If you have a child that wants to use the chair please follow these guidelines – always supervise children while using the chair, turn the intensity to the lowest setting, set the time to either 5 or 10 minute sessions. Make sure they do not try to climb out of the chair while the foot rest is up, this will break the chair and make me and future guests really sad.
Gas Fireplace
The Switch to turn on the gas fireplace is located on the wall under the metal SKI art.
Heated Pool and Gym
Located in the center court of the Black Bear Lodge is a year-round heated pool and community hot tub. With chairs for lounging and a large gas grill for barbecuing . The pool is open from 10am until 10pm everyday. The pool is heated and is open year-round. The gym is located in the garage next to the lobby elevators. There are no hours so feel free to workout anytime you’d like. Please find the code for the pool deck and gym in your check-in email or in the in house guest book.
Central Heating and Cooling
The heating and cooling system is operated with a Nest thermostat. The Temperatures are set at comfortable level but you can change them by dialing the thermostat up or down to achieve your desired temperature. Keep in mind that if you are running the fireplace for extended periods of time the thermostat turns off and the bedrooms can get cool. The minimum temperature is locked at 68 degrees to prevent damage to the cooling coils.
Recycling
There are large paper recycling bags in the back of the pullout garbage pail. These are marked and can be used for any bottles or cans that need to be recycled.
Washer and Dryer
Not that we want you to spend your vacation doing laundry but if the need arises you can easily clean up after your adventure with a large capacity stackable washer and dryer. The laundry center is located behind the single door in the hallway nearest the main bathroom. With speed cycle options you can be washed and dried and back to adventuring in under an hour! We even provide detergent, dryer sheets (it's Utah you'll need them), stain remover, steamer, iron and ironing board all located in the laundry center.
Elevator Access
No dragging your gear and luggage up the stairs. The elevator is with easy reach of your designated parking spot and steps away form the entry to the condo. Use the elevator closest to your designated parking spot to access the unit from the parking garage.
Dedicated Wifi
No worries about quality wifi signal and strength. You'll have access to a unit specific wifi at gaming and streaming speeds a teenager will get excited about. Wifi login information is available upon entry to the condo.
Digital Entertainment
All Television are either smart TV or Roku enabled.
Netflix is included and streaming is great through the network. Occasionally the connection is lost and you will need to re-connect to a wi-fi signal. If you get an error please follow the connection instruction located in the house guest book.
Cable- We have expanded cable with HBO and Showtime. (HBO and Showtime are not available in the bedrooms) to watch cable in the Living room – turn on the television, select the little plug button on the remote upper right hand corner. Scroll through options selecting HDMI. Now you will need to use the Xfinity remote to change the channels and navigate menus.
Alexa Device
Go ahead ask ALEXA where Chuck Norris is at! And then feel free to stream your favorite music while getting ready for the day. There is an ALEXA device in each room and you can opt to turn them off by pushing the power button located on top of the units.

Private Hot Tub

Enjoy the private hot tub on the deck overlooking the ski slopes. The Hotspring tub is a salt water hot tub so it does not require the intense chlorine chemicals that traditional hot tub require.
The hot tub is maintained professionally and it is very likely that you will see the maintenance crew during your stay. They access the tub from the exterior deck and do not come into your unit.
Feel free to add foam down if necessary but other chemical treatments should not be needed during your stay.
The temperature and lighting can be adjusted with the easy to use control panel. Please do not remove the control panel. Lost control panels will result in deductions from your security deposit.
Cards & Board Games
Game night, we've got you covered. You will find a selection of family board games, cards and chips in the cabinet under Clancy the Moose. If you ever notice pieces missing please let us know so they can be replaced.
All the Necessities
We want to make traveling as easy as possible for our guests so we provide all the basic necessities for your stay. In the bathrooms you will find extra rolls of toilet paper, hand soap, Argan Oil Glossing shampoo and conditioner, Dove Body Wash, feminine products and blow dryers. The kitchen is stocked with fresh sponges,dish detergent, paper towels and garbage bags. The kitchen is also stocked with Keurig Pods, creamer, sugar and sugar substitutes, as well as several sized Ziploc bags, tin foil and plastic wrap.
